Renewable Energy In Action - "Touring" a Campus Wind Turbine

On August 31, Clean Air–Cool Planet in collaboration with the MA State Sustainability Program sponsored a tour of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s 660 KW campus wind turbine, installed just this past spring. This provided an excellent opportunity for MA state agencies and campuses to visit a state site that has gone through the permitting, design and construction process for a large wind turbine as well as to experience for themselves issues around noise, aesthetics, and placement.

To learn more about the turbine at Massachusetts Maritime Academy or about the process to get a turbine of your own, please check out the presentations below.
